Sharon
Born: March 12, 1973 in San Juan, PR, the second of three
children.
Her mother is a retired Spanish teacher. Her father is
a former Marine, specialized in Communications, and is
computer programmer.
As a young child, Sharon always had a love of fairy tales,
which lead to a love for literature and languages. She
had the highest College Board score of her high-school
class in 1991 and was admitted to the University of Puerto
Rico's Humanities Department in 1992 with dreams of becoming
a writer. She dreams of publishing a book of children’s
stories.
Unable to find a program that specialized in Writing rather
than Research, Sharon designed her own academic curriculum
through the Individualized Studies Program and graduated
Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Literature & Writing
Techniques in 1999. She then entered the Translation program,
in order to polish her grammatical and linguistic skills
in Spanish and English. She graduated Summa Cum Laude
in 2005. That same year, she was certified by the ATA. |
